SEVRAR members can voluntarily serve on standing Committees or Member Focus Teams that give direction and manpower to operate the many programs, services and events of the association. As a member you have a "say" in the association and are encouraged to participate as your time and talents allow. Your participation creates an increased sense of belonging and multiplies the benefits you receive from the association. SEVRAR invites all members to review the lists provided and sign up to serve "your" association. AFFILIATE COMMITTEE (Meetings: 2nd Thursday each month @ SEVRAR / 9:00am) Liaison between Affiliate & REALTOR® members of the Association. This committee plans, conducts, and assists with various SEVRAR events including After Hours Networking, REALTOR® Play Day, Family Picnic, REALTOR® Expo, Bowl-a-thon, and the Oktoberfest & International Tasting. The committee also presents and recommends financial policies including insurance to the Board of Directors. Their function also consists of investigating the best methods of financing programs, and/or projects when instructed by the Directors. In addition, the committee reviews and monitors SEVRAR’s income and expenses. Responsibilities include: contacting members of AAR and NAR, calls to action, and interviewing, recommending, and promoting candidates with emphasis on the local level. This committee will then determine whether to dismiss or send forward to the Professional Standards Committee for a hearing. In addition, this committee works to educate REALTORS® and the general public, as well as creating awareness regarding housing needs while striving to improve the REALTORS® image. This committee conducts due process hearings in accordance with Bylaws on alleged violations of the Code of Ethics and Arbitration, and Bylaws and Articles of Incorporation. They also oversee the Dispute Resolution Service (DRS) Publications.
